My bank raised fees for IRA's

May 17th, 2011 at 05:36 pm

My bank now charges $30 a year for IRA's - I'm disgusted and I'm planning on moving it to another bank.

Is anyone else getting new fees?

I haven't noticed any new fees, but I certainly wouldn't pay a fee for something that so many other custodians offer for free.

There's no reason to pay anything...they already make money off your IRA money by crediting you lower interest than they can make by investing the money elsewhere.

    We've got Schwab--no fees!

I am with Vanguard, no fees either.

Then it's time to review your banks and any other bills that you have to see if you can get a better deal for them.
